Tabasco has more rivers than any other state in the country and the life of its towns revolves around them. Apart from being a place of water, it is also where cacao grows in abundance, it is the birthplace of the Olmec culture and a state rich in biodiversity. Come and explore!
Tabasco means wet earth and comes from the Náhuatl word metahuasco. The majority of the state has a warm humid climate and its average annual temperature is 81°F; during the month of May the temperature reaches 97°F. It has one Magical Town called Tapijulapa.
