Oaxaca

Oaxaca’s name originates from the Náhuatl word Huaxyacac which means “in the nose of the gourds”. Most of the state has a warm sub-humid climate and its annual average temperature is 72°F. The archeological site of Monte Albán, the pre-historic caves of Yagul and Mitla and the Oaxaca’s Historic Center are all UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Its Magical Towns are Capulálpam, Huautla de Jíménez, San Pablo Villa de Mitla, San Pedro and San Pablo Teposcolula and Mazunte.
