Durango is the land of cinema and deserts. It is also the land of exuberant mountain ranges, cities with great atmosphere and exquisite gastronomy.  

Durango is the fourth biggest state in Mexico. The word Durango comes from the Basque language and it means “beyond the water”. It was named after the birthplace of the conquistador Don Francisco de Ibarra, in the Basque Country.  

Durango’s climate is generally dry and semi-dry and its annual average temperature is 63°F. Its Magical Towns are Mapimí and Nombre de Dios.
