Municipal Palace – Town Hall
Palacio MunicipalThe south side of the plaza is where you’ll find the Municipal Palace. The Town Hall is where the meaningful pre-Hispanic teponaxtle is kept. It’s an ebony instrument used in a ceremony held June 24th each year at La Xochipila. Palacio Municipal is also where you’ll find murals by Felipe Castellanos. They depict the history and everyday way of life in Xicotepec.
