Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Ahuaxintitla
Pay attention on the way between Xicotepec and Tlaxcalantongo. It’s a pleasant and warm ride full of vegetation. Be sure to try some pahuas (avocados from the Sierra Poblana) and chalahuites (pods of seeds coated in a cotton-like substance). While the trees bear fruit and the hens run free, in the backyards of the houses you can see coffee beans drying in the sun. Don’t forget, at the edge of the road, there’s a small church behind which you can see the clumps of mountains. That’s the Iglesia de Santa María de Guadalupe, in Ahuaxintitla.
