Casa del Caballero Águila was built in the 16th century. It’s located in the heart of San Pedro Cholula and is named after the eagle warrior found in low relief spanning the entrance. On the lower floor, you’ll find the Museo de la Ciudad de Cholula (Museum of the City of Cholula), a museum with six rooms containing over 2,300 pre-Hispanic and colonial artifacts. The small—yet fascinating—collection includes ceramics and jewelry from the Gran Pirámide de Cholula, as well as sculptures and colonial-era paintings.
