Every August 5th a pilgrimage is made from Hunucmá’s church to the port of Sisal. The boats accompanying the Cristo Negro (Black Christ) move to the rhythm of the ocean, while the faithful carry flowers that they scatter on the water, thanking their Christ with music and prayers for the successful harvest.
