Easter Week
Come and experience a genuine example of Mexico’s traditions.

The festivities start on the Saturday before Easter Week with the transfer of the Señor de la Columna (a figure better known as Ecce Homo). On Holy Thursday a pilgrimage takes place, which stops at seven different churches in San Miguel, and on Good Friday is the Santo Encuentro (Sacred Encounter) and the Procesión del Silencio (Procession of Silence). The celebration culminates with the Palm Sunday festivities, in which figures of Judas are burned.
