San Pedro and San Pablo Parish Church

Parroquia de San Pedro y San Pablo

The exact date of construction of this church encapsulating the “indigenous baroque” style is unknown.

The mid-17th century building proudly boasts a grey cantera stone facade. Inside the neoclassical interior, a Christ figure presides over a white, gold-leaf altar flanked by St. Peter and St. Paul, naturally. Before leaving the church, make sure you stop by the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe and see the colonial-era paintings with Nahuatl captions, as well as the stunning cedarwood ceiling.
