Santa Rita Mine

This was the second poly-metallic mine in the world and one of the most important ones in Mexico. Silver, gold, copper, lead, zinc, and magnesium were all extracted here at Mina de Santa Rita. These days, don’t pass up your chance to take its zip line circuit—the view of the canyon is mind-blowing. Inside the mine, you can go almost half a mile underground while the guides explain how minerals were extracted.
