Cuchumá Sacred Hill
The Cerro Cuchumá is a sacred hill for the indigenous Kumiai people. It stands right on the Mexico-US border and is part of Mexico’s intangible cultural heritage.
Here, the Kumiai community conduct ceremonies in this cherished location. Each year there is a horse-back procession to the hill, leaving from the Valle de las Palmas.
