Celebration in Honor of Saint Mary Magdalene
In the second half of July, the streets of Xico are filled with joy during the celebration of Saint Mary Magdalene. Large and colorful carpets made from sawdust, traditional dances, processions, food, and an ample cultural and religious program are all signs of devotion for this virgin, the town’s patron saint.
