- Life in town revolves around the Temple of Santo Domingo, constructed between the 16th and 17th centuries.
- In 1821, a mass was celebrated in the Temple of Santo Domingo that confirmed the independence of Chiapas from New Spain.
- To the north, in the La Pila neighborhood, you will find the Temple of San Caralampio.
- If you visit the Plaza de la Marimba, you will see the Temple of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
- On your way down south is the Temple of San José, right next to the Plaza del Arte.
