Archeological Museum of Comitán

Museo Arqueológico de Comitán

This archeological museum has three halls. The main one displays the most important aspects of the archeology from the Central Depression through to Los Altos. Another hall is dedicated to Tenam Puente, to its objects and sculptures that speak of the importance of this great Mayan settlement. The final hall houses a collection related to the cult to the Cuevas del Oriente de Chiapas (Chiapas’ Eastern Caves), and to temporary exhibitions.
