San Juan Bautista Parish Church

This construction dedicated to Saint John the Baptist dates back to the 17th century, and inside it conserves one of the three remaining Christs of the Agony in the world. For many, his face is one of great beauty and his gaze, directed up towards the sky, makes him unique. Some say his expression is one of pain, some say it’s one of prayer, and others believe it to be one of contemplation.
