Purísima Concepción Parish Church

Parroquia de la Purísima Concepción

An emblem of the north of Mexico’s baroque style.

This church is a hallmark of baroque-style construction in Mexico’s north, dating from the 18th century. It is the work of Juan Ross, from Querétaro, and Camilo de San Martín, from Durango. Its massive stone and limestone spaces encompass three naves, a main altar, and two side chapels. The church’s interior preserves fine wood furnishings and is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception.
