State Museum of Art

Museo de Arte del Estado

Once occupied by the Oratory of San Felipe Neri, this building then became a hospital, and later a prison. Today it is one of the state’s most important museums. This 18th-century construction is home to more than 700 pieces, which cover more than 100 years of art history in Mexico and Veracruz, including 36 works by Diego Rivera, as well as Miguel Cabrera and Alexander von Humboldt.
