Marble Mine

14 miles from the town, on the Loma de San Marcos, you will find the Mina de Mármol, a space reminiscent of the remains of a Greek city. This place is adorned with magnificent blocks of travertine, a type of rock very similar to marble. Climb the hill and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. We recommend you visit the mine very early or very late, since the heat can be a real challenge. We also suggest you consider visiting it at night, when you can admire the stars.
