The Convent of Saint Anthony of Padua is the town’s spiritual and architectural heart. Its interior boasts an ornate baroque-style altarpiece plated in gold, niches with the images of Santa Lucía, and the Crowning of the Virgin as the Queen of Heaven. Also visit the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception’s alcove, and find the sculpture of the Virgin brought from Guatemala.
