Bodegas El Vesubio Winery

Bodegas El Vesubio is a must-see stop in the Magical Town of Parras.

This is the third oldest winery in the Parras region. Bodegas El Vesubio has been a producer of “fortified red wines” for 123 years. They buy their grapes from vineyards around the region, processing them within their installations located in the center of Parras, creating four different wines.

Come and see all the curiosities hidden inside this old winery with its 19th century atmosphere. The building itself is an old northeastern style mansion, several centuries old, with beautiful reed and beam ceilings, around 16 feet high. In the shop you will find several portraits of the winery’s founders.

One of the photographs shows what the treading of the grapes was like in the times of the Italian founder of the winery, Nicollielli: with the half-naked day laborers dancing to the sound of the harp and other instruments.
