Have a Refreshing Sorbet at Nieves Don Mere

On the Plazuela de San Francisco is Don Mere’s sorbet stand. Grandfather Joel created the recipe and now it’s his grandchildren who prepare it. The sorbet is artisanal and has a unique flavor; to achieve it they blend various fruits (guava, banana, mango, strawberry, apple) with atole de maicena (corn drink), cinnamon, and vanilla. Once inside the cone, a home-made jam is added on top, the first thing your lips will savor.
