Moles here are the specialty, especially those sweetened with chocolate, plantains, and raisins. Also enjoy the freshwater acamayas (similar to prawns), flame-cooked trout, and the crayfish from Casa Bonilla.
In the Cabaña del Tío Yeyo, as well as the trout, ask for gorditas (baked corn pockets with savory fillings), jalapeño chilies filled with shredded beef or marinated minced meat, and tamales with dried chili salsa. The sorbets are delicious, especially the mantecado and coffee flavors.
