Spend Pleasant Moments on the Esmeralda Coast
Thirty-seven miles southeast of Papantla is the Esmeralda Coast, an idyllic place with fine sand and calm waves located between the municipalities of Tecolutla and Nautla. Here you will find attractions such as the Campamento Tortuguero Vida Milenaria, which is a turtle camp, and the Ciénegas del Fuerte Ecological Reserve.
After exploring each one of its beaches, we recommend the riverside towns of Nautla and San Rafael. The latter town flaunts a French streak apparent in its inhabitants, gastronomy, shopping, a museum on the topic and Maison Couturier, a lovely place to eat and sleep.
