Wheat, quince, blackberries, apples and pecans are grown in Jalpa. In the Braniff artisanal products store you can find these treasures from the land transformed into jellies, liquors and conserves.
The Rincón de la Galera, as well as being a hostel, is a restaurant where it is well worth going to eat. Its menu includes dishes such as caldo de zorra (vegetable soup), enchiladas de cecina (fried tortillas stuffed with salted beef and covered with spicy salsa), or mole de nuez (nut mole) with rice.
If you are here during the weekend, we recommend you visit Las Musas where you can have traditional dishes cooked by a group of women for breakfast.
