Admire the Works in the Museum of Sacred Art

Here is the Virgin of the Light by Gabriel José de Ovalle, from the 18th century. Other works from this century include the paintings of the apostles by Francisco Martínez. Pay special attention to the Cristo del Corazón Flotante (Christ of the Floating Heart), a carved wooden figure incrusted with human bones. Works by José Manuel Ballin and a Filipino image of Jesus of Nazareth made with corn stalk paste, also form part of its artistic heritage. Make sure not to miss the Holy Trinity by Miguel Cabrera, a painting that was prohibited for a long time due to how confusing the faithful found it.
