Observed for almost 145 years, Cozumel’s Carnival (Carnaval Cozumeleño) is the most authentic and popular of these festivities in Southeastern Mexico, in part because it is a traditional celebration oriented towards families from throughout the region. For seven days, there are parades, music, food, and gaiety set against Cozumel’s unbelievable natural backdrop.
