Vinícola Claudius Wine House

This wine house is owned by Julio Benito Martín, who founded this adventurous project in 2010, with the aim of making wine for himself to drink. It ran in his blood: his family made wine in Segovia, Spain, for many generations. His interest in producing it commercially gradually grew, and since 2013 he has been selling his product. To begin with he bought the grapes from other viticulturists, but he now has his own vineyard between Santo Tomás and San Vicente.

Claudius is unique because the wine is made in Rosarito and the results have been widely applauded. Its young wine is called Godoy and is a mix of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The reserve wines are varietal and appear under the name of Claudius: Merlot, Nebbiolo, Syrah, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a Grenache Noir rosé and white wines (Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc).
