Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Parish Church
This parish church is a work of 18th-century baroque art and, at 236 feet high, one of the tallest Catholic churches in Mexico. From outside, you’ll recognize the excellent stonecutting work in the atrium, the three-bodied towers, and the decorations on the facade.
Once inside, you’ll be surrounded by the exuberance of plateresque and churrigueresque styles in the spectacular vaulted ceiling, altar, and main nave. The sacred relics deserve special attention.
