Casa Carranza Municipal Archives

Don’t miss out on this cultural center, overflowing with Arteaga’s history.

Currently this is the home to the Municipal Archives, a place with similar architecture to the Municipal Palace, where written records, photographs and other historic documents are kept.

This is the place where, in 1913, Don Venustiano Carranza, who would one day be the president of Mexico with the help of Emiliano Zapata and Francisco Villa, wrote his first revolutionary manifesto.
