The main square features the gazebo, the Palacio Municipal (town hall), and the Casa de la Cultura, which features permanent and temporary exhibitions, along with cultural events. You won’t regret trying the artisanal ice cream in fruit flavors like lime, zapote, or guanabana. The shawls sold at the surrounding stands are well worth it. Wednesdays are tianguis (outdoor market) day, a great chance to pick up some clay, carved wood, or stone handicrafts.
