Here is Mexico’s first tree nursery which later became a national park. Since its founding in 1907, it has been responsible for being the main provider of trees for the city’s public parks. Its mission of raising awareness about environmental issues and protecting nature has only grown over the decades. Facilities include a composting area, an area for seedlings, an arid zone, and a wetlands area.
